This property is fantastic! The conditions of the manor house bedrooms are very modern, yet still hundreds of years old. The proprietors live on site and are very friendly, providing excellent service. Huge bonus for fresh eggs and apple juice from the property, the makings of a super fresh breakfast. We will be going back!

Un endroit exceptionnel lors de toutes visites en Normandie. Les hôtes sont magnifiques. A must if you are in Normandy. Both Juno and Omaha are les than 30 minutes away.

Absolutely, gorgeous property and grounds. This is a wonderful place for peace and quiet, the rooms amazing, the breakfast outstanding and the beautiful surroundings without a doubt first class! The entire facility and the folks that own it are so helpful and kind. Best place to stay in France outside of Paris if you go to see the Normandy coastline.

The property is absolutely beautiful as are the grounds. The owners were wonderfully kind and generous with their time explaining the history. The breakfast was the best I've had using lots of product from the property. Highly recommended and looking forward to returning soon!

The property was beautiful and the owners were kind and responsive. The only downside I would say was the listing on hotels.com was a little misleading. We searched for properties with a pool and this manoir did not. In addition there were photos of a hot tub/jacuzzi and that also didn't exist. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay and the location was perfectly situated. As it's a B&B there are some limitations related to food. The breakfast was delicious but was not included in the price and no other food was available at the property and we weren't allowed any food in our rooms, so you need to be prepared to leave the property for lunch and dinner. You can bring food back to eat outside which we did one evening and was delightful.

Helllo, thx you for your nice review. Appreciated. We have SAUNA and JACUZZI. Food in rooms is not allowed anymore due to some damage in the past and our rooms are high qualities standards. Picnic in the salon with other guests is also not appropriate. As mentioned, we are a B&B. We do organize dinners but for groups starting from 6 pax min with Private Chief.For breakfasts, we also have breakfasts included offers. best. Elodie.

Sejour de 3 jours avec ma femme et mon fils de 13 ans. Que de délicates attentions de la part de nos hôtes. L'intérieur de ce manoir et ses jardins sont magnifiques et incroyablement bien entretenus. La suite ou nous étions était très spacieuse et du plus grand confort. Litterie parfaite. Nous avons très bien dormis dans un doux silence. Plaisir également à se balader dans l'immensité des jardins et de la forêt du parc ainsi qu' à contempler les chevaux. Merci pour ces délicieux petits déjeuners au coin d'un feu de cheminée parfaitement adapté. Très beaux moment d'échanges et de discussions.

L'intérieur de ce manoir et ses jardins sont magnifiques et incroyablement bien entretenus. La suite ou nous étions était très spacieuse et du plus grand confort. Litterie parfaite. Nous avons très bien dormis dans un doux silence. Plaisir immense également à se balader dans l'immensité des jardins et de la forêt du parc ainsi qu' à contempler les chevaux. Delicieux et chaleureux echanges avec nos hôtes. Nous avons hate de revenir ! (Sejour de 3 jours en famille avec ma femme et mon fils de 13 ans)

Stay of a Lifetime!
This property and its wonderful hosts is a real dream come true! From the moment we arrived the hosts were gracious and accommodating. The common rooms and guest suite could not have been more beautiful, clean and comfortable. Location is convenient to all tourist sights, shopping and restaurants (the host even recommended a wonderful dinner spot) I would recommend this property wholeheartedly for singles, couples and families! What an amazing experience! BONUS....We got to see the beautiful horses on the property. I cannot recommend this property enough.

From the very moment we drove on the property, we knew it would be a special place. A working horse farm, in the owners family for over 200 years, this is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The couple that owns and runs the manoir were more than accomodating, greeting us each evening when we returned from our day of touring with a glass of wine or Calvados. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Private bathroom for our Suite which consisted of two large bedrooms with king beds and our bathroom. Breakfast was servered each morning from 8:00 - 10:00 in the dining room if you desired it. Fresh eggs, ham, cheeses, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and homemade jams and honey for croissants and breads to name a few items served. Pictures do not do this manoir justice. We highly recommend this property if you are in the Bayeux area.

privat geführter alter Herrensitz mit 300 ha Park
Das Anwesen liegt vollkommen abgeschieden ca. 10 km außerhalb Bayeux. Sobald man von der kleinen Straße auf das Grundstück einbiegt, empfangen einen erst mal 400 m Buchenallee vom feinsten bevor sich dann der Blick auf das Anwesen und den Park öffnet. Man meint, man wäre in einem Film. Das 400 Jahre alte Gästehaus wurde innen sehr liebevoll und aufwändig renoviert und entspricht inclusive unseres riesigen Marmorbades heutigem Luxusstandard. Der Blick auf den Park ist überwältigend. Vom Haus sind es bis zum Grundstücksende ca. 1,5 km mit angelegten Wegen, auf welchen sich herrlich spazieren lässt. Ein Teil des Grundstücks ist Wald, andere Teile werden für Pferdekoppeln bzw. Pferdezucht genutzt. Der Hausherr, der sich zusammen mit seiner Frau jederzeit liebevoll um die Gäste kümmert, ist auf Wunsch sehr gerne bereit, einem alles zu zeigen, dann sind zwei Stunden rum. Vor dem Haus sind gleich 2 große Teiche mit Schwänen, Enten und Gänsen. Das kaufpreispflichtige Frühstück ist jeden Euro wert: Vom Wohnzimmer aus, an welchem man bedient wird, hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Park. Hier Abschied nehmen fällt schwer.

I cannot say enough about the Manoir de Cleronde. We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be our favorite of all the hotels we have ever stayed at. The owners have been able to renovate to maintain the true spirit of a Manor built in 1639 but also provide the necessary conveniences needed today (excellent/comfortable bathrooms, electric at today's standards, etc). The owners went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and lots of fun. Since the property is on 45 acres, we were able to have a picnic while enjoying the grounds. We would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing 17th century manor that's now a bed and breakfast (and horse farm). Huge suites, quiet, relaxing, not far from Bayeaux and all the Normandy historical sites. Have the owner give you a tour of the grounds and you will see where oak trees were shelled and Germans had trenches dug. Really a fabulous find.

Picture Perfect Family Spot in an Idyllic Setting
We were blown away by the beauty of this hotel! What a gorgeous setting. The kids loved exploring the grounds, riding bikes, and saying hello to the horses, geese, swans, ducks, frogs. We were coming from Paris so having a lot of open space for them to run and be kids was key. The owners are so gracious, welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast spread is fantastic! Eggs, fruits, pastries, local jams and honey etc. We were there to visit the WWII museums and the Manoir is close to it all and steeped in history. Please note that you must tell them in advance if you plan to have dinner on the property as they have to arrange a cook.

Fantastiskt boende på landet! Detta är nog inte rätt för familjen med små barn. Många farliga och härliga vattendammar och vallgrav mm. Finns egentligen inga aktiviteter för barn i närområdet. Du är beroende av bil. Ca 15 min till större ort, butiker, resturanger osv. MEN om du åker i vuxet sällskap så är detta boende magiskt! Tyst, lugnt, rent och toppenservice med sanslöst generös frukost! Rekommenderas verkligen! Perfekt bas för D-day utflykter mm

Wonderful Choice!
My family of 5 greatly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The manor met and exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly charming and the hosts gracious. Breakfast was a treat in itself, so much that my family did it again the second morning. The grounds were beautiful, and the horses and other wildlife added to the experience. The location was close to Normandy, and close to scenic spots for dinner. The rooms were clean and spacious, and well appointed. Parking on the grounds was excellent. Wifi outside of the first floor was marginal as advertised. We are very glad we picked this location to stay.

Super people and fantastic accommodations. Our favorite stay in our two week stay in France. Gwenael (the owner) even gave us a ride to the next town at last minute when our taxi fell through in time to meet a scheduled tour.

Not only was this 400-year-old Manor immaculately refurbished and the grounds pristine but The husband and wife couple who run the family owned property were super nice. While sipping on the local apple cider brandy they gave my wife and I A history lesson on the property and a lot of information for us to tour through the Normandy area. This Hotel is a must stay. We will be back.

Lovely, restored house and stables in beautiful garden and extensive parkland. Owners were charming and very helpful. Their family has owned the property for 200 years so they really know the area and local people. Breakfast was delicious and included yoghurt from a local farm with raspberries from the garden. In the middle of the countryside but short drive to Normandy beaches and Bayeux. 1.5h to Mont St Michel. Truly idyllic.

Magnificent place....close to so much.
This is a magnificent place! After leaving the Palace of Versailles to visit the beaches of Normandy, I felt like I was staying in my very own palace. The property is beautiful and serene. The owners are so kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is about a 10 minute drive to the town if Bayeaux where there are many great restaurants and sites; and about a 10 minute drive to beaches of Normandy and the WWII cemeteries. The breakfast in the morning was so fresh and delicious, and after a long day of travels and/or before our evening excursions, Gweneal and Elodie offer wine and relaxing music in the parlor. Do not hesitate to stay.....you'll love it!

Fantastic, recently renovated Chateau near Bayeux
Stayed late August 2017. Gorgeous property with lovely ground and luxurious rooms. The best that the family and I have stayed in.

Wonderful stay
Very comfortable and beautiful manior. The room is very clean and spacious. Breakfast is wonderful, and the host is nice and helpful.

Excellent, very close to Normandy beaches
This hotel is very well maintained and has excellent gardens. Although we had only two people there was room for five or six and we had two separate rooms. It has the feel of an old manor, with a large courtyard and a "country" feel. Free parking was good too.

Special experience
This is more than a place to stay. This is a unique and wonderful experience. The owners are lovely hosts and are happy to give you a tour of their manor/farm. They will share the history of the manor and show you how they use it today. You are welcome to wonder the property and enjoy the peaceful gardens and lakes. Everything in the room was clean and in good working condition. The owners both speak English.

Excellent stay
We went for a few days to travel and see the sites of Normandy. Our whole trip was perfect thanks to Gwenael and his wife. He was helpful with places to eat and always checked that we didn't need anything. The grounds are picturesque and it was nice to enjoy the grounds and lakes after a long day of site seeing. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious every morning. I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay in the area.
