The Space:
Left Field Tiny is located in a secluded spot in Ashbourne, Macedon Ranges Shire, amid farmland pastures of grazing sheep and horses, and a regular mob of transient kangaroos. A cozy 113-square-foot tiny home set on a 30-acre property on the outskirts of Wombat State Forest and Hanging Rock Reserve, with a fully fenced paddock, easy access to water, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please expect farm animals, agricultural operations, and occasional neighboring resident noise on the site. In addition, we would like to inform guests that this is a 155-square-foot tiny house devoted to sustainable living
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and have a direct private entrance from the road, except for the land host's private residence, sheds, farm animal paddocks, and other farm buildings on the property.
Guest Notice:
- Be aware of the offset electric and do not climb through the fence.
- In the event that any concerns need maintenance, repair, or medical attention, please contact your land host via message or phone.

Left Field Tiny House sits in the rural locality of Ashbourne, in Macedon Ranges Shire-Victoria. Where you can enjoy bushwalking, restaurants, farmers' markets, and lovely country towns to explore. Local townships include Woodend, Trentham, Tylden, Kyneton, Macedon, Mount Macedon, Gisborne, and Daylesford.

- Hanging Rock Reserve is a popular day-trip destination featuring hiking trails, picnic areas, free BBQ grills, and other events.
- Macedon Ranges is home to nine historic villages with stunning backcountry vistas, native bushland, and artisan food.
- Du Fermier is a restaurant mostly known for its weekly changing menu of garden-to-table French-style meals created by chef Annie Smithers.
- The Wombat State Forest is popular for walking, hiking, mountain bike riding, horse riding and dirt bike riding. It is also home to many native species including eastern grey kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, koalas and more.
Along with the Mill Markets located just a short walk from Daylesford High St., and Macedon Regional Park-Camels Hump are just a few of the nearby attractions to visit.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr, 84 km drive from Melbourne. All reachable by 2wd.
By public transport:
- By car via the Calder freeway from Melbourne.
- The V-line train to Woodend, the closest local town, is an 8km or 10 minute drive.
- Please note that there is no other direct public transport but there is a local taxi service.
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi and mobile reception are poor
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have chickens, sheep, horses, and cows on the property
- Please dispose of your rubbish in the compost and recycling bins provided
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Due to agricultural hazards on the property, pets must remain within the boundaries of the self-contained paddock
- Guests who wish to holiday with their own horses are able to do so only with prior confirmation from the land hosts.
- The fire pit cannot be used during summer season total fire ban days or code red days/extreme wind event.
- Your pets are welcome to holiday with you at Left Field. However, if your pet soils the bed, mat, or rug, there will be an additional cleaning charge of $50. Please also clean up after your pet in the area around the tiny house. All dogs are to be kept within the confines of the tiny house's self-contained paddock and monitored so as not to chase the farm's sheep or horses.
Farm guidelines
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health
Guest Advisory
- We advise guests to conserve water as it is collected through rainwater
- We ask guests to limit the duration of showers in the summer so all taps are not left dripping. Let us help mother earth and conserve water properly.
Important note:
- Gas BBQ grill is available except fire ban period
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban (fire pits are not allowed for use during summer season)
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay
