Dejligt hotel i centrum af Akureyri
Vi havde en dejlig overnatning, således vi var friske til hvalsafari i Dalvik. Dejligt stort værelse, og en lækker morgenbuffet .

We were originally booked in another hotel but were upgraded to this one due to the virus scare. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The room was a little bit small but had a good shower. Again, the staff were great from the front desk to the wait staff in the restaurant to the bar tender.

Nice and simple hotel for good price. Basic breakfast like it should be. Strangely, when you dial 9 for reception you just get noise like the line is disconnected. Something you have to check Mr. KEAhotels..

Comment gâcher vos vacances en Islande ? En allant séjourner dans cet horrible hôtel. Si vous voyagez seul, vous serez logés à l’annexe, un petit bâtiment sans charme où tout respire la décrépitude. Bienvenue chez les pestiférés... à moins que ce ne soit la prison ou le monastère ! Votre cellule est à la hauteur du reste, horrible. C’est minuscule, triste à mourir, vétuste et bruyant. La salle de bain, avec son lave main et son quart de douche sont à l’avenant... n’espérez surtout pas dormir dans le lit de 70cm avec un épouvantable matelas posé sur un sommier poisseux et sale. Après avoir passé la nuit avec votre voisin de cellule dont vous avez partagé tous les faits et gestes, avoir tenté de trouver le sommeil malgré le bruit de la route et des fêtards, vous serez réveillés aux aurores par la lumière du jour puis par vos voisins d’infortune puis par la femme de chambre !! On pourrait en sourire si l’on ne savait que vous aviez déboursé plus de 100€ la nuit sans le petit déjeuner qui n’est pas inclus (contrairement à tous les hôtels d’Islande...) bref, une adresse à fuir absolument et à ne surtout pas recommander. Inadmissible, tout simplement !

Dear monaco0071, We thank you for giving the time to write us a review. We are deeply sorry that your stay with us didn't meet up with your expectations. To clarify part of your complain the hotel is in a few building around the main building and online you can choose different rooms categories based on price. The reason that you didn't have breakfast included is that you booked a Budget room without breakfast. The reason that you were located in the annex building (where the rooms are the same just not in the main building) is because you booked a Budget room in the annex building, the information is very clear on all of the booking pages that we work with. The budget room in the annex building costs 99 eur during high season. Perhaps next time don't book Budget room without breakfast in the annex building. Regarding noise, yes the hotel is located in the heart of Akureyri and Saturdays can be noisier then other days as you stayed here over the weekend. Cleanliness is very important to us and we have a strict quality check everyday before anyone stays with us. I will take your pointers direct to our housekeeping manager and sort it out Immediately if there is anything that needs better attention. It would have been really good to hear from you regarding your stay while you were with us so we could had made your stay better, hopefully we will have the chance to do that in the future, please contact us directly. I was able to get in my room when I arrived at 0800. I found out that my tour I had booked for the day was cancelled. The receptionist helped me book another tour that was similar. I was picked up with 30 minutes. When I returned I found out the tour I had booked for the next day was also cancelled and again she helped me book an alternative. This was above and beyond doing her job. The only negative was that the room needed better blackout curtains.

The best representatives of Icelandic hospitality!
A kind staff. I had an emergency hospital visit and because of fracture while hiking. The staff was compassionate, extremely helpful in accommodating every one of my needs— and did so with a smile.They helped me to my room, drove me to and from the emergency unit, picked up my scripts. I have never been so well treated with such consideration by any other hotel. I travel quite a bit, and the staff of the hotel excelled any other I have experienced.

This is a really nice hotel, clean and well staffed. Breakfast buffet was a lot better compared to most budget hotels around Iceland. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced too.

Too expensive for what you get.
A well located hotel but rooms are unbelievably small. Also tv here is terrible as the management is too cheap to subscribe to a decent cable service. No cnn, no nothing.
