Lack of trained staff
Staying at the Radisson is with mixed feelings. The Radisson is located at a perfect spot on VI. The hotel is pretty new, BUT already you are starting to get a lot of wear and tear all over the building. The GYM looks like something from a 2-star Hotel that is put into a dirty garage. It is NOT nice at all. The food is better than the other big hotels in VI. The thing that really sets back Radisson is ALL the staff. ALL staff is totally under trained. This is from the front desk, staff in the restaurants to the cleaners. There is a long time between I stay at hotels where the staff is this poor. I know I will have to come back and stay at this hotel and I can only say I am not looking forward at all. Sadly because the hotel have the location and potential to be a great place on VI.

Very compfortable Hotel
Very nice stay with high compfort, very fine and clean rooms, very freindly and fine service from staff. An oasis in Lagos. But quite Expensive.

A good choice for Victoria Island, but still not in a nice neighbourhood. Take care in the area and make use of Uber or get your own driver. Transportation is pretty sketchy these days. Suggest booking a hotel car airport pick up. Taxis and Uber are a nightmare.

The staff was very professional and very accommodating for any special needs that we had! There was never anything that we needed that they did not provide from check in to check out. This is the hotel I will always stay at when I come to Lagos!

This is an overrated hotel. Please remove the art work on the wall, it does not look good at all. Why would you put someone as a art work😞 Also, dirty rooms, noisy lobby, and stinky environment. I still haven't received my refund yet; y'all better refund my money. The staff were good! The lake view was nice, but the overall vicinity was not comforting and welcoming to me....

Very good all round! Room service could have been better, food was not expected. I ordered a seafood soup via room service, completed underwhelmed, all of the seafood was cut or crushed into little bits, a very expensive meal for not a lot of food.

The staff was nice. I was able to pay more to check in earlier. The hallway leading to the room had a musty, horrendous scent. I mentioned this to the staff and they seemed to spray something that subsided the smell. In my bathroom, I was really disappointed to see dust in corners. It is as if no one had cleaned the bathroom. I mentioned this but nothing was done. This was extremely disappointing because I was expecting way more from Radisson especially with the price that I payed.

This hotel should stop charging those exorbitant prices for the terrible conditions! The room hallways had a terrible smell! My room had broken amenities including a cracked sink, a trash container without a cover and a broken safe. I would not stay at this hotel again. For the money they charge you would expect at the minimum facilities that match up to a Holiday Inn. This hotel needs a serious overhaul or renovations. Stop charging high rates for poor amenities! The staff were kind and serviceable but you cannot continue to make your staff apologize for your terrible amenities!

The property felt very secure; rooms had stair access, which is nice when there are rolling power outages. Unfortunately, there was an overwhelmingly strong mildew/moldy odor and the tap water was clearly unhygienic.

This hotel had brown water running from the taps. I also had my bed made with a stained sheet- at some point I thought I was being pranked...overall terrible for the amount of money they charge. Will not stay here again.

It was a very sad experience staying at Radisson Blu Anchorage Victoria Island, Nigeria. The moment I entered the room it was stinking, didn't expect such an expensive hotel to turn out into such a huge disappointment. The service in the hotel was pathetic and also during checkout I was made to wait for more than 45 minutes because the hotel staff didn't have Naira to give me back. Finally I had to ask them to call their Front Office Manager (Ms. Maureen) to intervene. Honestly speaking we travel to Nigeria every month from Dubai by will never be there nor will I recommend anyone to stay in this hotel in the future.

Strengths: The Radisson was safe and the facilities were nice. Right by the water so great views, staff were professional, restaurant and dining options were present, the room and hotel was nicely decorated, available tv channels, and the hotel was appropriately priced. Weakness: The wifi signal could have been much better.

Paid extra for a lagoon view with lounge access which wasn’t worth the price. The bathroom needs to be renovated, not up to a 3 star standard. Hot shower not hot enough, AC too cold. Hallway smelled like vomit. Business lounge very small. Paid a lot of money to add full breakfast which was not worth the price. The hotel is very quiet, older crowd. I wouldn’t come back.

This is definitely the hotel to stay in Lagos
This is hands down one of the best hotels in Lagos. I spent a week at the continental hotel, and I would only recommend it to people I terribly detest. To check into the radisson after that, was wonderful delight. From the moment security allowed me in through the doors, I realised I was in the right place. Every single person/staff I dealt with and encountered was professional and courteous, obviously well trained. You don’t get the typical bad behaviour that unfortunately is prevalent amongst people working in hospitality in Nigeria. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioner worked excellently, the linens were in good condition. Truth is, there was nothing to fault here. Breakfast was great, service was good. I highly recommend this hotel as the place to be, and this is the only place I will ever stay henceforth.
