"I stayed at this lodge for 2 days in September. I found the staff professional and kind. The restaurant was excellent and the surroundings beautiful. The lodge is small and the atmosphere intimate and I feel that the staff worked diligently to achieve their reputation for eco responsibility. I wish I had more time there. If I have a chance to return I will probably splurge on a cabin."

"We only stayed one night but wish we stayed longer. La Villa de Soledad is a beautiful mansion in the traditional Spanish style with an open courtyard. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. John and Soledad were kind and accommodating hosts. We had an incredible dinner there cooked by Soledad - maybe the best during our trip to Honduras. The short walk down to the river is really nice and it honestly beats having a pool. "
