I would say that I will think 2 times before booking into Holliday Inn Paris airport next time. The room itself was the only positive experience during my stay.
The service was poor, staff having private phone conversations, answering questions from me without even looking up from the computer, a friendly smile you could only dream off. Male waiters in the restaurant flirting with older ladies, the restaurant closed at 10 pm, the bar at 11 pm (no food served in the bar - the restaurant is a low-quality buffet with the choice "directly from the tin").
I arrived at 9.45 pm and I was accepted at the restaurant as they made me a favour, I was not welcome at all. I would expect there should be a possibility for a late meal for those who arrive late.
My feeling was:
- new restaurant concept in order to save as much money as possible - people need to eat anyway so they will accept this as the only possibility
- Staff: you get what you pay for - either they are not paid enough and don't care or Holliday Inn saved money on staff training.
