Good overall experience
We've booked the hotel on Nov. 25th (2023). Arrived at Scandic Grand Marina, Dec. 31st and the receptionist informed us that he can't find a reservation on our name. After acknowledging fault we got a room upgrade (to a suite - 444). The suit was great but one heater (out of 3) wasn't working. The outside temperature was ca. -20° C (maybe lower) and the room was cold. We were provided a electric heater and the temperature got better. Friendly hotel staff. Housekeeping only took the trash out and changed some of the towels. Nothing else. Big TV with international channels. Big restaurant with a fabulous breakfast. Unfortunately the temperature in the restaurant was low and it took the coziness away. There is a possibility for dinner with buffet and à la carte menu. We will book again.

Hotellet er slidt, og kunne trænge til en opdatering. Vi fik ikke skiftet håndklæder på vores 4 dages besøg, og det værelse vi havde bestilt var udsolgt da vi kom. Fik i stedet et større værelse, men man sover ikke så godt på en sovesofa som en rigtig seng

Godt hotel i centrum
Hotellet ligger centralt og personalet er venlige og hjælpsomme. Morgenbuffeten er virkelig god og motionsrummet meget fint. Rengøringen var til gengæld virkelig ringe!

Jeg savnede aviser eller magasiner mhp orientering om aktuelle koncerter, herunder kirkemusik. Det i øvrigt venlige og hjælpsomme personale var ikke til megen hjælp. Men ellers et rigtig godt hotel!

En god oplevelse!
Jeg var på et 3 dages ophold med mine 2 døtre. Vi havde et værelse med dobbeltseng og en opredning. Det fungerede fint- naturligvis er sengen bedre end opredningen, men prisen var også derefter så alt HELT okay. Stor venlighed i såvel Reception som i Restaurant. Fin morgenmad. Vi spiste ligeledes i restauranten om aftenen - også dette var RUGTIG godt. Vi har boet her flere gange og at vi “vender tilbage” viser jo, at vi kan lude stedet. Let at komme til fra byen med sporvogn nr. 4, som holder MEGET tæt ved. RIGTIG meget at se i området. Næste gang vi skal til HELSINKI vil vi atter bo på SCANDIC GRAND MARINA. Overall very nice property and very convenient walk to city center and market. The only issues I had (and probably because I am not European) is with the light switches (I could only get the bathroom and 1 lamp to light) and I couldn’t figure out the thermostat or how to open the window. Also, there was a flashing light right over the bed that made it difficult for me to sleep. But, the staff was super friendly and the morning breakfast was great!!

La posizione, comoda anche per il traghetto per Tallinn. Un giorno si sono dimenticati di riassettare il bagno, pur essendo, in generale, molto buono il livello della pulizia.

Its good hotel but must renew all inside as its already old feeling In the morning breakfast the resturant staff workers they are cleaning tabels , floors and putting new food on tables in the same claves without changing it we were shoked about seeing it !!! The superior room big but not arranged in style as showen photos , very old beds and even you feel the very noisey doors closing of the other rooms . The reciption staff are very kind and helpful

Loved being near water and could walk in all directions along the harbour. It was only minutes away from an outdoor market and I even walked to the centre of the town. Tram service was close by. Breakfast buffet was very large and very good. I also enjoyed the sauna,

Es war für unsere Zwecke genau richtig dort. Reichhaltiges Frühstück mit landestypischen Spezialitäten ergänzt, nahe der Innenstadt und der Fähre nach Tallinn. Auch ein marines feeling kommt in der umgebauten Location auf.

Loved being by the water and the breakfast was excellent. My room was too tiny (for a 4 star hotel it was ridiculously small). After a water leak I was immediately upgraded to a room with 2 beds which was good service.

Perfect location to explore Helsinki at Christmas or anytime of year. Right next to Viking Cruise line terminal was a huge plus. The breakfast buffet was amazing, choice, quality and availability was benchmark! The heater in the room could have been hotter as it was a little cold in the room even with the heat cranked as high as it would go. Other than that it was an awesome place to stay. Would stay here again without hesitation.
