Gæstehuse i Hawaii Island

"Hotellet er beliggende tilbagetrukket fra trafikeret vej i rimelige rolige omgivelser. Man skal krydse vejen for at komme til havet. Umiddelbart overfor hotellet er der en lavastrand med fantastisk snorkel og surf muligheder. Man bliver budt velkommen af indehaveren, som er utrolig gæstfri og hjælpsom. Jeg havde Seaview værelset, som dog ikke havde så meget havudsigt, medmindre man stod op i den ene ende af terrassen. Værelset var lydt, så man kunne høre børn og voksne tale i værelset ved siden...

"We loved our 7-night stay at Hilltop vacation rental! We had the economy room with a view of the ocean and it was very cool to wake up to the sun rising. The room was clean, there was a shower and bathroom and all of the necessary essentials for our stay—coffee maker, small fridge, etc…The parking was a bit tight, but our rental Jeep fit into the parking spots! It was a quiet and peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend! "

"Fantastisk sted gemt væk af naturlig bevoksning, så selvom der ligger huse tæt på, så er man stadig godt gemt væk. Perfekt sted til dem, der gerne vil passe sig selv og kunne lave lidt mad, hvis behovet skulle opstå. Der er ligeledes morgenmadsprodukter dagligt. Ejeren kommer gerne forbi og fortæller om området og seværdigheder. Ejeren, Bill, er meget hyggelig og omgængelig. "

"This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. "

"The property had everything we needed plus more. The hosts were suoer friendly when we bumped into them and and took the time to tell us about their home and some of the great things about the area. We saw toads, a gecko, meow meow and heard the amazing night chorus of the frogs. All this and we were staying on an actual coffee farm! Happy guests all round."

"If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear."

"Das Gästehaus ist für den Preis sehr empfehlenswert, da die Preise für Unterkünfte, selbst auf der Hilo-Seite von Big Island sehr hoch sind. Dementsprechend haben wir gewertet. Man darf für diesen Preis allerdings nur entsprechende Erwartungen haben. Viele Hawaiianer leben in ähnlichen Situationen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Es liegt allerdings im Regenwald und bietet keine weiteren Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Es liegt ca. 15 Minuten von der Hauptstraße 11 (Hilo-Vulkan-Kona) entfernt...

"We absolutely loved our stay at the charming Holualoa country home. The lanai boasts a stunning view of the ocean and sunset. While downtown Kona was sweltering in the heat, it was nice and cool on the mountain. I miss hearing the coqui frogs at night! The hosts leave lots of beach gear for your use - beach chairs, an umbrella, a boogie board, snorkels, a cooler, beach towels, etc., which is incredibly nice for those of us who fly in! I would not recommend a low-setting car for the drive up the...

"Every detail has been thought of! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need!! You really feel like you have your own private jungle bungalow. Slept like a rock in the comfy bed and the rain on the roof! Eric and Chris were SO great, wish we had more time to chat with them. next time :) It's super close to the park. Will be sending many people their way. Stop looking around and book this place!!"

"Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. But what made this place excellent were the hosts, Joy and John, who clearly want your stay to be great. And ours was."
