"We rented so we had a place to stay as we were in town for funeral and the normal family we stay with were out of room! This home is an older home with a lot of charm and was great for entertaining some family that stoped by to see us that wouldn’t be at the funeral. We were grateful for the family friendly environment with plenty of places for a large group to hang out! There was 8 of us that stay and total counting babies for dinner was 18."

"The house is a great meeting place for a large family. The courtyard was great for the kids because it’s completely fenced in. They enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the guest house does not have a full bathroom and the house is a little rundown. Other than that, Our family enjoyed our stay."

"Overall a great home. Comfortable, has good space to hang out. The pool was fabulous. We couldn't get the hot tub hot so that was disappointing. Nice neighborhood."

"Casa Acero was amazing. It felt like home. The kitchen was stocked with seasonings and condiments. We cooked most nights and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard with wood burning it the outdoor stove. The furniture was very unique. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We will definitely return to Casa Acero."

"We, along with 2 other couples rode in from Dallas to visit Big Bend. This was the perfect place to relax after a full day of riding. Host was helpful and quick to respond when we had questions."

"At first glance, the property was great--neat and in a great location. But some things were less than ideal--the beds only had a bottom sheet--no top sheet, just a comforter. The linens, while clean, we're a bit old as they all had pilled. The bathroom mat was not clean. The outside furniture is not useable. And the parking arrangement was confusing--we finally did hear from the property owner, hoping that how we had parked for 2 days already was okay."

"House was great! Open concept which was nice to visit with everyone. Kitchen has some stocked food and spices which was great for first day arrival. I love concrete floors however it makes you hear everything in the house early or late. Would stay again when in the area."
