"This isn’t a bad site, however the given description is not adequate. This is a primitive campsite- you must carry all your gear up a giant mountain at a steep grade. My elementary and preschool kid could climb it but I had to carry the gear. We are in good shape and without gear it probably took about 10 minutes to get to our site- up the front of the hill, over the top, and to the back. Some people had incredible views. Ours was ok- partially looking over a decrepit residence. Hilltop tent...

"My daughter and I had w wonderful stay for the weekend. Short drive to Big Bend for fabulous hike. Yurt has everything you could possibly need! The bed was so comfy! My daughter really loved the decor! Especially the bed frame. Actually curious where I could purchase? Lol. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place!"

"The pictures of the property aren’t what we showed up to. Didn’t end up staying once we figured out that the “clubhouse” was 15 miles/26 minutes from the property, none of which is stated. We tried to reach a deal with the host and she wasn’t helpful at all! I asked for some sort of compensation/ reimbursement since we didn’t stay there. We checked into a new place that was better represented."

"Our daughter lives in Midland and we have been staying elsewhere but the prices keep rising. We started looking for campgrounds and found Horseshoe. The cabin was incredibly clean, very comfortable and spacious. It was quiet for being near I20. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be back on our next trip down to see family. If you know Midland, it is in the desert, so knowing that information helps to know what to expect. "
