If you are on business trip or leisure and you want to be close to city and airport this is ideal location. The rooms are huge and very cozy. All rooms have Sea View and it has number of small boats for rent... like for fishing etc. Over the weekend there is waterpark which comes to life and it is amazing.

The staff was fantastic and very nice. The only issue might have been wanting a cold beer to go with dinner, as Zanzibar is VERY hot. I don’t they serve alcohol there?

For the cost of the rooms, the hotel is just not a very good value. Overall communication was lacking (we were not informed of a conference that would mean we could not even access the lobby, for example!), pool has very limited hours compared to comparable hotels I’ve stayed around the world, and the overall environment leaves a lot to be desired (“waterfront” area immediately adjacent to hotel has empty containers, piles of old tires, construction equipment, etc.). Room was fine - clean and safe.

An amazing hotel and property! Has a water park for kids. Has a great staff and hospitality. Definitely a great place to vacation and close to stone town.

Ocean views only!
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! All rooms with an ocean view. An amazing pool. Children's water world with mega slide and so on. A fabulous gym and spa. Delicious food. Alcohol free. Only 4km from Stone Town.

The staff was very nice. The food was good. The rooms were nice. Our only complaint was that we paid for three nights at over $300 a night but when we departed after two nights, the hotel refused to refund us for the last night. We’ve never had that happen before and it certainly soured our experience there. It would definitely make it difficult for us to refer it to other people.

Location was okay
Room was nice except the AC broke on our last night which was difficult to sleep. Food was ok, didn't have all the options the website offered. Coffee cafe was not even open.

Hotel grande com boa estrutura e comodidades
O Hotel Verde é bem grande, tem os quartos grandes, e muita estrutura (piscina, academia, etc). Ele não fica no centro histórico de Stone Town (fica perto, uns 10 minutos de carro), é adequado para maior sossego e descanso eu diria.

Es gibt keinen Alkohol
Es ist schade, dass es auf der Internetseite nicht klar ersichtlich ist: es gibt keinen Alkohol, in den Ferien hätte man zum Essen ja gerne mal ein Gläschen Wein. Im Hotel ist das Essen wirklich maximal knapper Durchschnitt. Es gibt einen schönen Pool, sonst nichts los kein Strand einfach nichts. Man muss mit dem Taxi in das 5 KM entfernte Stone City fahren um etwas zu erleben. Das 5* Hotel Azam ist nur geeignet für Ruhe suchende Teetrinker.

Property was great is size and amentities and team certainly tried to do their best. Just seemed a bit tired and in need of a deep clean. Our room was nice and sizeable, but had a good amount of bugs, which is not uncommon for the area.

The property is a 5star , and it’s reflected in the cleanliness, their use of green energy and their top notch rooms, . Their breakfast is byfair the best in hotels im Zanzibar. The staff know what to do and politely take good care of the guest. I would definitely book there again.

Check in process is a little painful.I was disappointed that I was denied a late check out. I do understand that the hotel was fully booked but come on 1hr late check out would never hurt.

This was supposed to be an twin executive suite. The beds in the room were of the smallest size that could not accommodate two average built adults. May be this resort is only for small executives. Room was still being cleaned after check in. The hotel was on a huge property and there were long walks from room to restaurant, front desk and park etc. and the golf cart pickups were not available most of the time. Credit card machine did not work an d the staff were not customer friendly, multiple faces but, no focused service, greetings or acknowledgements. Estha in the front desk was the only exception.

Excellent!
I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful! Especially to a guy named othman and Abbas they were very kind and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thanks for making this stay comfortable! I will definitely come back!

Excellent choice
Excellent choice near from stone town. swimming pool , little Theme park opens in weekend .It has its own marina where you can sail from it to the islands .

The property has many events to do, such as tour to Spicy Farm and Stone Town visits and the staff were excellent and friendly.  What I did not use was the Spa. I made an appointment at the spa, but I didn't get a call.
