"Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

"End House Inverness was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. We forgot it had two bathrooms, so we were so excited to see that it had that. The provisions provided to get us started were very thoughtful and helpful. The house was roomy, clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked. The directions provided for all the amenities were more than sufficient to make correct use of them. We hope to be able to stay here again some day."

"We had a last minute change of plans and I needed to find suitable accommodation for my family of 4. I came across the 'Garden House' in my initial search and compared 5 other similar solutions. None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The location, setting, layout, preparation, standards, provisions were are excellent. The setting within Oxenford Castle...

"An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back."

"We had a fabulous visit and would love to come again. We especially enjoyed the beautiful garden and the cozy furnishings. The area is very nice and we enjoyed visiting nearby Crail as well. Thank you!"

"Views of sheep from conservatory in back (where we spent most of our time) and glorious water views from dining table out front which are not shown in listing but should be! Very comfy well equipped older cottage. Keith was great to chat with. The 4 mile one track road in was slow due to the traffic to the Talisker Distillery but that is no fault of the cottage. Just a fact on Skye!"

"We recently enjoyed a delightful weekend getaway at Chapelton Cottage. The cottage itself is charming and impeccably clean. It has everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including a cozy fireplace, a comfortable bed, a fully-equipped kitchen and many other extras. We were fortunate with the weather and spent most of the evening time outside enjoying a BBQ and the massive firepit. The location was perfect for anyone seeking a getaway from the hustle and bustle and we would highly recommend...

"Eileen Isay was the perfect central location for us to explore Isle of Skye. Dunvegan Castle, Fairy Pools, prehistoric Brochs, hiking in the Cuillins and our favourite hike The Quiraing. Absolutely jaw dropping scenery and magic weather all week. The cottage was ideal for us, cosy, warm, very comfy bed and everything we needed. Every evening we sat by the bay window and watched the amazing sunsets, all of which made our Golden Anniversary a very memorable one. Thankyou Marion!"

"Really well equipped house with beautiful surroundings. After clear instructions of how to arrive and check in we felt warmly welcomed with fresh flowers and some chocolates from Oban. Plenty of lovely walks nearby, but the house was also a great place to use as a base to explore wider, from a trip to Oban (picking up more chocolates!) to a walk up Ben Cruachan. We’d love to stay again and continue to explore. Huge thanks to Fiona and Andy for being such great hosts!!"

"The property is a lot bigger than the photos portray. Very spacious. There were also two single beds as well as a double in the area upstairs. Very tranquil surroundings. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr schön. In der alten Molkerei war alles vorhanden was gebraucht wird. Wir haben von dort aus einzelne Tagesausflüge in die Highlands unternommen. Einziger und auch größter Kritikpunkt war der leicht muffige Geruch in der Wohnung. Ich bin nicht sicher ob es nur daran lag, dass es während unseres Aufenthalts sehr viel geregnet hat."
