"We enjoyed our stay here. You can tell there is a lot of love that goes into maintaining the house and the gardens. The gardens were especially lovely with everything starting to bloom. One thing I would suggest is more night lighting, especially around the stairs in the master bedroom and living room. My mom (age 77) took a tumble (she was OK!) because she missed the stair leading down into the bedroom and I think some extra night lighting around the stair area would have helped with that."

"Our group of six (teen, YA, in-laws, husband and me) enjoyed our stay at the North Shore Retreat. It's centrally located for easy exploring of all parts of the island-- from Doe Bay and Obstruction Pass to Deer Harbor. We loved the garden setting. It was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon reading amid the fragrant flowers, buzzing bees and swooping hummingbirds. "Super sweet views of the water, islands, & sky. Very nice private beach, and peaceful setting. The kitchen is well equipped. Bed was comfortable, couch and chairs were comfortable. The code to the door didn’t work, and after trying it numerous times, we texted Vacasa and they responded with a different code for the lock box which got us in with a key. The light above the stove, under the microwave was burned out, so cooking was dimly lit. I’m sure they will replace the bulb tho. The coffee...

"Although by no means 'fancy' digs, the house and its furnishings were perfectly comfortable and ideal for our group of six. It was a 5-8 min walk to the center of town, so convenient to all activities. We didn't do any cooking so can't speak to the adequacy of the kitchen furnishings, but you do need to provide your own coffee. Simple, reasonably priced accommodations in a beautiful location."

"This house is perfect for a couple or family. Two bedrooms with queen beds and the softest sheets and comforter. A full sized kitchen and family, facing the bay. A beautiful deck with bbq and comfortable seating. There’s a separate structure/studio which has a queen sized bed and heated flooring. The grounds are beautifully kept with extra sitting areas. Highly recommend, will go back again!"
