"The wanderers retreat is a lovely spot. We will definitely be back. It was only a short drive to the town centre but felt like you were out in your own private rainforest. "It was our first visit to Nelson Bay, nature is fascinating, lots of activities around to get engaged in, shopping is near by which was great. The only constructive feedback that I would like to share is that property needs renovations, not decently cleaned when we received the key. "

"Close to beach 5 minute walk and the marina a 15 minute walk. It was a lovely place to stay. Not suitable if you can’t walk up/down inclines. "

"The property itself is great, clean, modern and basically equipped. Getting in and out of the pool from the apartment required a bit of effort as there is no ladder. Not easy for young kids or older people. We did find an area just down from the apartment where you could use steps. The 40 degree weather didn’t help as the electricity went off several times for long periods. Only one control for both AC. Having to make your own bed at that price point is having a lend. "
