"Attended a wedding 29th of may. The wedding event was excellent. Stayed in a garden room quirky and well maintained, a bit hot though. Now my real upsetting point. The joiners arms, my nephew who was getting married booked a table for 25 people, unfortunately 29 turned up. The host would not accomodate the 4 extra in even allowing of us to eat in the bar, her comment was to go and eat in seahouses. "This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you"

"First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). We used the property as a base to attend a wedding and extended our stay to visit Alnwick and Holy Island - Newbiggin is a little tired and rundown and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area."

Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. "The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"Host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and provided lots of useful information. It was next to another shepheard’s but you still had plenty of privacy. The garden area was spacious and the hot tub was amazing! The hut itself was very cosy and toasty when the log burner was on. The bed was comfortable. The shower was warm and powerful. The kitchen area had everything you needed. Sleeping under the stars was amazing and we had great views both nights! You are about an hours walk away to...

"We stayed in Beadnell as it was midway between Alnwick and Bamburgh both of which we wanted to visit. The house was in a perfect location for this and within walking distance of a great beach. The house was very clean and well equipped. Lots of room. We would certainly stay again next time"
