What a terrible property! It has been over a year they are undergoing an elevator remodel, and it is just ridiculous! They wait for the elevator at times is 30 minutes long.
They also have the audacity to charge $42 dollar "resort" fee when there is not coffee maker/coffee in the room. There is no mini fridge or minibar. Zero amenities! And if anything, they should waive this fee to compensate us for the elevator inconvenience!
I also am extremely dissatisfied with the staff/service. I specifically called housekeeping one day at 3:00 pm as we were heading out to make sure our room got cleaned, and when we got back at 11:00 at night, guess what, our room was not serviced. Cannot believe this request was completely ignored, even after I specifically called requesting it. Their staff literally doesn't care!
Another issue, on check-out day, I called at 8:30 in the morning to ask for a late check-out. The receptionist said, "Let me check and I'll call you back." 2 hours later, after no one called me back, I called once again asking for late check-out, and once again they apologized and said, " We will check on it and call you back." Surprise, surprise, NO ONE ever called me back! This is just nonsense. Every other hotel I have ever called to ask for late check-out tells you immediately, sure, no problem, or they tell you they can't accommodate it. What's with all the "We'll get back to you" nonsense!
Skip this place. There are tons of other hotels in NYC.
