"If you are looking for a unique place close to Kruger then look no further! What makes Highgrove House truly magical is probably a well kept recipe. If I had to describe it, I’d say that you’d need to mix the hospitality and welcome of staying with family with a well polished high end establishment. Combine it all with the fact that you’re dining in a period mansion house. Top it up with a good measure of peaceful countryside atmosphere and you have the rough recipe for this unique place....

"The location of the hotel is good. The stairs down the the rooms is built for somebody with long legs and the ramp - not sure if that is for a wheel chair which I will never use. The restaurant is very over priced and its really not great food. The food at Mrs Simpson is WAY better. The fire place, having a vent right on top, the room was always smelling of smoke. Rooms do all need a little TLC. Staff is very friendly and helpful."

"We booked the place because of the good reviews we read and were deeply disappointed. After waiting around 15 Minutes at the gate, we were finally left in after we had to use our foreign phone to call a couple times. We were then handed a key with no further explanation and received a hand sign in a direction after asking where to find the room. The room itself was very small and run down. As there was no dinner available, we only had breakfast there, which unfortunately is not recommendable...

"Amazing experience staying at Kruger Gate Hotel for 5 nights with my girlfriend. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sarah from guest relation - she was so helpful organising and changing our safari trips to suit our needs. Over all the experience was above expected. The photos on the website represents reality well. From the infinity pool we observed loads of elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes and much more passing right by for amazing photos and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this hotel, and hopefully I’ll be back soon."
