Our stay at the zedwell hotel was not exactly recommendable. We paid £40 for early check in.
We arrived to a very cold room, with air conditioning that didn’t work. We contacted the front desk to either switch rooms, or have maintenance come by - at the same time we pointed out, that the room wasn’t clean and filled with black hairs, that definitely weren’t ours.
Maintenance came by twice, seemed incredibly annoyed with our request for help and was not pleasant to have in the room. In the end, he tried to close the vents, which helped the problem a little, but it was still cold. We contacted the front desk again, to say that it wasn’t resolved. At the same time we again mentioned that cleaning hadn’t come by. Nothing happened.
The next day, before we left the room we asked for cleaning and toilet paper. We arrived around 15 but no cleaning had been done, but toilet paper had been thrown on the bed.
We asked to speak to the manager, and again told the issue. We were given complementary late check out and asked when we would leave the room so the cleaning could stop by. We requested them after 6, but they already knocked around 16 when we had no chance of leaving because we had to get ready for our dinner reservation first. When we got back from dinner, the room had been ‘cleaned’ - but the black hair was still there.
All in all an extremely frustrating experience and unfortunately we will not be stay here again - or recommend it to anyone staying.
