Set in a very nice, quiet location, with beautiful surroundings. Easy to get to, and park, if you're driving. Pleasant, helpful, engaged staff. Restaurant, bar-food, drinks and breakfast were all very good quality. Nice swimming pool (16m, I think) and gym available, which I used and were in good order.
Be aware though, the rooms are sufficient but not great; the Hotel is a seperate brick-built property in stately-home style grounds. Imagine Premier Inn/Travel Lodge style hotel, rather than the upmarket DeVere hotels typically based in the stately home. Compared to Premiere Inn type expectations I would say this hotel is average at best (bathrooms very small, shower no bath, tiny corner sink, tired furnishings; somewhat drab). Overall though, fine for an overnight stay, with everything you need, at a reasonable price, all things considered.
