Weekend in Lakes
Beautiful guest house in an amazing location. 5 mins drive to town centre (20 mins walk) and ideally located for hiking We will definitely be back.

The host was VERY helpful. The property immaculate and very clean. Great breakfast Nd even let me leave my car whilst walked to Keswick on the day of check out Will def be staying here again

Lovely B&B/Guest House, large bedroom with superking bed, large en-suite with very powerful shower. Very nice host and superb breakfast with quality ingredients. Good covid procedures. A very nice find indeed. Thanks!

Fantastic break :)
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Powe House, the room was spotless and had an amazing view (photo attached) and the breakfast choice was fantastic, the full English was a big hit!! It was about a half an hour walk into Keswick town centre however the walk was very straight forward and pleasant. The hosts were very friendly and took time to chat which is always nice :) we love Keswick and all it has to offer with some fantastic walks and views, it really is very beautiful! we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Powe house again!

Great stay. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely host and great breakfast options Inc Eggs Royale ect. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

This is a lovely inn. The location is great. Beautiful room with comfortable bed. Very quiet. The innkeeper was very accommodating.

Shower fiasco in room
Lovely place; at walking distance to town centre and lakes, however very disappointed with shower facility, the friendly host said at greeting that shower is very powerful and care should be taken, the guest book reteirate this, but in reality shower is just a good shower and the drain on thr floor is totally pathetic as it is very very small and hence does not allow water to drain in! I was left with two options; shower and flood the room or not shower at all...So not impressed at all.

Excellent location, easy walk into Keswick so no need to take the car. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with matching cups, saucers, plates etc (although mugs would have been more practical).

Well looked after
Our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. Delicious breakfast really comfortable bed and lovely room and amenities. A 2 minute walk to a good pub with nice food and good beers. Very generous people who even drove us back to our car after a bike ride and no bus to take us. Would return for a dead cert relaxing break.

Comfortable B & B just outside Keswick
Easy to find B & B just off the A66 in Portinscale outside Keswick. Comfortable house with 5 bedrooms. Exceptional breakfast. Owners are very helpful and considerate about all details. There are a number of walks, low and high level, which can be started straight from the B & B. It is a flat, pleasant 15 minute walk into Keswick. There is a nice local pub 100 metres from the B & B, which does pub food.

I stayed in the single room at powe house. The gentleman is very friendly with a great customer service manor. The room was more than enough for my needs. Comes with hair dryer tea and coffee amenaties and tv. Single bed and wet room style shower but with shower curtain. Converted box room but very good location for the wedding we were there for. Breakfast was great with a choice of yogurt cereal juice fruit as well as a hot menu choice. I had the eggs benidict for 2 days and it was lovely. The rest of my family were staying in the double rooms which were a brilliant size and came with the coffee tablet machines which they said were great. Would definatly recommend to anyone up that way for a few days or for a wedding stay over. Thank you for a fab welcoming stay

Comfort in The Lakes
A very friendly B&B - all the facilities required and nice and clean and tidy - and a very good breakfast choice. The locality is ideal for exploring the North Lakes area and I will happily use Powe House again when back in the area.

Very relaxed stay which is what I needed
The owners when beyond normal expectations. I had to extend my stay on a Sunday at 6 pm, due to a separate problem and the owners were terrific. The single room is fine, but a little small. The common room was very comfortable for reading.

Comfortable B&B in a lovely location
Couldn't fault our room, hosts or the breakfasts. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay in this lovely old house. Beautiful walks, Derwentwater, Keswick all in walking distance, and a pleasant little pub serving evening meals just 100 yards away. Will stay here again.

Overnight Stay
Stayed last weekend in November 2017 at this lovely bed and breakfast overnight. The B&B was exceptionally clean and our room was absolutely lovely. It was spacious and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good with a choice of food. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance of Keswick town centre but the quickest route is across a path over two fields, a torch is recommended at night.. We had our evening meal at the local pub which is approximately 200 yards from the B&B, very nice. We thought at first that the distance from the town centre, particularly in the winter months at night, was a problem for us but on reflection this brought with it added benefits. Car parking is available with the B&B which is often a problem nearer the town centre and the availability of the local pub close by to have an evening meal was a real bonus, nice pub food, friendly staff and no need to drive. To return to a lovely B&B after a long days walking with the availability of somewhere to eat and drink very close by was great, what more could you ask for. Overall great B&B. Would definitely stay again.

Beatiful house in a beautiful area 100 metres or so from A66 but very quiet hardly any traffic noise at all outside, so non inside, lovely gardens front and rear. House is in extremely good condition and decor modern and plenty of extras, very comfortable and a superb breakfast Andrew the owner was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble, up to date local information and excellent knowledge of the area.excellent stay totally recommend and very reasonably priced

Ideal for a short break
Lovely place . Ideally situated , short walk into Keswick , a mile,, yet a stroll to Derwentwater and the Keswick Launch . Bus to Buttermere and Keswick will stop at the door for you. Farmers Arms does very meals ( closed Mondays ) three minutes away . Powe House does a great breakfast to suit all needs . Go back ? Yes !

Great stay
Excellent place with very good facilities run by friendly and welcoming hosts. A relaxed, comfortable stay with plenty of privacy but help on hand when needed. Great range of breakfast options, notably the full English. Decent pub 100m away. Would gladly stay again when next in the area.

Très bel maison avec chambre spacieuse, propre, décoré avec goût, très belle salle de bain. Plein de petite attention: produit occitane dans la SdB, café ou chocolat (commerce équitable). Petit déjeuné très correcte. Acceuil chaleureux avec pleins de conseils pour visiter la région ou pour trouver un restaurant. On peut comparer la chambre à une chambre d'un hotel 4*. Une des meilleures chambres d'hotes lors de notre voyage. Allez y les yeux fermés.
