"We stayed in Beadnell as it was midway between Alnwick and Bamburgh both of which we wanted to visit. The house was in a perfect location for this and within walking distance of a great beach. The house was very clean and well equipped. Lots of room. We would certainly stay again next time"

"We visited Driftwood for a long weekend. This was a really comfortable, well set up holiday home. Very well equipped, loads of games and puzzles, lots of beach’s equipment too. Embleton is a perfect base for exploring the area and is only about a 20 minute walk to the beach. From there you can of course walk for mikes and miles in either direction. 10/10"

"We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge...

"The house was mostly comfortable but needs some upkeep. The communication with the host was a challenge and they did not reply to most messages (even an acknowledgment of receipt would be okay). One of the showers we could not adjust the temperature, 2 of the showers had mold. One of the biggest challenges was trying to cook as the cookware is very worn and some of it unusable. It would be nice to have a few basic essentials such as salt and pepper and hand soap upon arrival to get things...

"We had a wonderful time - Cottage is perfectly placed - 50 yds from a choice of wonderful walks left to the Harbour & on to St Abbs Head, or turn right to Coldingham and beyond. Very impressed with the accommodation - cosy and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, and the Tunnocks wafers were a very nice extra - thank you!"

"Stayed fir 3 nights. With 10 adults. Lovley big house. Plently of room Comfortable beds. Some paintwork a.bit.shabby which was a shame. Only down side was it stated a clockroom i thought that.meant a downstairs toilet but it was just a place eto hang coats. This was difficult as some of the party was eldery and found the stairs difficult to navigate, butmon the whole we had a great.time."

"The house is in a great location for accessing the Coastal Path- north and south there are great walks. Angela is a helpful host and the check in process was very easy. Unlike many other local properties we were able to book a two night stay which was great for us Our bed was very comfortable Lovely seat in the front garden for morning sun and sea views. The back garden has some pretty flowers and is a great place for late afternoon sun when the front is in shade, but we didn’t have any garden...

"Lovely location with a beautiful garden. All items needed for a short stay available for use. Double bed so comfortable however twin beds a little cramped together. Only minor comment for improvement was that is was cold the 1st night as heaters not on. Would book again"

"A gorgeous and very comfortable house for me and my family( me, husband, 2.5 yr old and 5 month old). Great location for the beach and 20 min walk to St. Abbs. Lovely beds, very comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped. It was so great to have loads of dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods and coffee pods!! Thank you!"

"This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you"
