Paladsfornemmelser
Fantastisk gammelt venetiansk hus, eller faktisk kun part af huset idet halvdelen var solgt fra for at kunne renovere hotellet til tip-top (bombet i WW2). Ejet af samme familie i over 400 aar. Ligger lige midt i den gamle by, helt perfekt. Gratis frugt og vand. Selve vaerelset var maaske lige lidt smaat, hvilket er eneste kritik.

Palazzo di Pietro was our family house, for many centuries, and that's why each room is unique...We have really big rooms like 50sq and smaller ones,18sq.However the service and the attention to the detail is the very same for everyone, regardless the size of the room or the days of the stay!

We absolutely loved this hotel! It was super quaint, clean, and in a great location. The owner was extremely friendly, commuicative and gave us great advice regarding our hiking excursion to the Somaria Gorge. This was our first trip to Greece and the islands. A couple of things that would've been helpful to know: 1. The hotel street is not accessable by car, so you can't drive up and drop off your luggage. 2. Parking was challenging as the streets in the town are blocked off from vehicles passing through. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

Charming and comfortable in the heart of Old Town
A beautiful and quiet and spacious room in the heart of old town Chania. Elefteria is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable about Crete. She lavished us with fruit, rakemolo, beer, water and candies. The balcony is small but sweet. I liked everything about this place and is extremely quiet at night.

We were welcomed by the kind and enthusiastic host Eleutheria. The room was fabulous. The hotel felt like a home with little treats as extras, such as fridge items, sweets and coffee making facilities. The hotel's location is superb as it is very central but in a quiet street.

Wish we could have stayed longer!
We couldn’t be happier here. Charming city with so many potential excursions…western Crete, in October, has the trifecta of smaller crowds coupled with sunshine and lovely swimming. And so much history! Palazzo di Pietro also has a trifecta - old city location, charming historic building and the lovely Eleutheria, the owner. Elutheria thought of everything for her guests, with lots of good recommendations. Parking is the one challenge; we had an 8 minute walk after dropping our luggage from about 100 meters away. It’s a small nuisance, but might be a concern for some.

What a fantastic hotel/ apartment. We stayed in the smaller apartment. Just beautiful and everything you could need. So well appointed. Very comfortable and cleaned and fresh towels evey day,though we were happy to reuse. Check in was easy and Eleutherine what a lovely lady so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

This is a very nice place to stay. The owner is very helpful and went out of her way to make us feel at home. She gave us a good rundown on places to visit and eat, and it was really nice to have small gifts in our room each day- we said that we liked the toiletries and she gave us a set to bring home with us

Beautifully decorated and appointed apartment in a lovely old building. Eleuthera was a warm, gracious and informative host for this long-time family owned property. Welcome gifts of wine, fruit and chocolates were an extra special touch. Would stay here again, eagerly!

Our top rated hotel on a five week vacation
Palazzo do Pietro is a beautiful little boutique hotel within minutes walk of the old Chania harbour and all its attractions. Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. Our room had a nice balcony too. Eleutheria is a wonderful hostess willing to share her vast local knowledge. Take a moment with her to get to know the area, especially regarding the best dining options.

The best place to stay in Chania
This was our most favourite place to stay on our trip. The hotel is stunning and with a rich history that Eleutheria explained to us on arrival. She was incredibly helpful, giving us information and local insights of the town and some great dining suggestions. The room was gorgeous, as was the rooftop terrace, and the location is steps away from everything that Chania has to offer. If you are visiting Chania, make sure you stay here.

Das Hotel ist ein Kleinod in der Altstadt von Chania. Auch wenn wir nur das einfache Zimmer gebucht hatten, war alles super. Die Begrüssung und die Herzlichkeit von der Inhaberin Elentheria ist kaum noch zu übertreffen. Wir erhielten gleich bei Ankunft 2 Flaschen Wasser und eine kleine Überraschung, im Kühlschrank stand ein Obstkorb für uns bereit. Sie gab uns viele Tipps für den Besuch der Altstadt und seine Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Hotel verfügt über eine kleine sehr grüne Dachterrasse, auf der wir uns abends gerne aufgehalten haben. Das kleine Hotel liegt unweit des alten Hafens, in der Umgebung gibt es unzählige Restaurants, auch zum Frühstücken. Im Zimmer gibt es eine kleine Pantry, die gut ausgestattet ist, Tee und Kaffee inklusive. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Awesome location. Nice touch to have a bottle of wine gift on arrival and a gift on departure. Lovely shower in room and so many dining options within 5min walk, great advice from reception. Only hard thing about our stay was lugging suitcases up 2 flights of stairs and of course leaving!

We loved the fact that we were in a 15th century house and the owner, Eleuftheria, is a descendent of the original owner. It was quirky but updated and Eleuftheria did her best to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a Juliette balcony with a little table and 2 chairs. The street was very narrow, there were three restaurants in that street alone. We said hello to guests on the other side of the street who were sitting on their balcony. It felt very cozy. It was charming. There are no elevators but we had no problem walkong up the stairs. At the end, she called us a taxi to go to the airport. George apparently drives many of her guests to the airport. All in all, we loved old town Chania. O can only recoommend.

We had the most enchanting and inspiring experience at Palazzo di Pietro! From the very first step we took into this historical haven, we were greeted with warmth and treated to an exceptional level of care and attention. While it may not boast modern design, the hotel’s charm and unique character create an ambiance that transports you to a bygone era, making it a truly magical place to stay. The meticulous cleanliness of the entire hotel is praiseworthy. Every small detail, from the beautifully adorned soft furniture to the elegantly designed carpets and decorations, is maintained to perfection. It’s evident that the hotel leadership and staff takes great pride in ensuring guests enjoy a spotless and inviting environment throughout their stay. However, the crowning glory of Palazzo di Pietro lies in its remarkable customer service. From the moment we entered the lobby, we were made to feel like the most important people in the world. The hotel is tucked into a beautiful little pedestrian walkway in old town surrounded by historic sites, restaurants and cafes- it’s gorgeous. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, wee maintained and the roof stop garden is magic. The ladies who own and maintain it we’re so kind and helpful and their personal touches really made the stay feel special.

A lovely property...
We had a lovely stay at Palazzo di Pietro. The innkeeper was waiting for us at our arrival and gave us very helpful information about the city and many of the historical landmarks (as well as providing us with some fruit and wine in our room). Located right in the heart of the old town, there were myriad choices for dining & shopping within easy walks - while we could hear the busy-ness of the city from our room, we appreciated the proximity that it offered. The room was amazingly comfortable considering the age of the property and we enjoyed the roof-top garden for afternoon refreshments. We would definitely recommend this inn to others!

so much character and charm, and right in the heart of the old city. you can walk to everything you might want to see. Eluthenia, who runs the place, gave an excellent introduction to the city--lots of useful tips. the room was spacious, very clean, and each room is unique. great experience!

Excellent service. Warm welcome when we arrived. Answered all our questions and took a moment to share the history of Chania with us. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were greeted with fresh fruit, coffee, tea and other items, all complimentary. We look forward to staying there again.

Wonderful property! Beautiful and historic right in the heart of Old Town. Location couldn’t be better. My room was beautiful and very comfortable. All amenities are carefully thought out. I didn’t need anything. Laundromat a few feet away if you need to do a quick wash.

Great hotel with charm.Do NOT book if you have car
Nice hotel perfectly located in the heart of the city center. Hundreds of restaurants to chose . Clean and lots of perks. Coffee in room with fruit and complimentary beer and soda. Wonderful reception. Safe. One MAJOR problem is description showed parking. We had to park almost a mile away. Raining upon checkout and now way to drive up to office. This is common in the towns in Crete.

Dear Walter ,Thank you for taking the time to review us. The hotel is placed at the historical center and all this area is pedestrian zone.It is not possible to arrive with the car at the front door,and of course there is not a parking at this area except some places only for the permanent residents. That's why at the description says that there is public parking lot at the nearby area.So sorry that you had to deal with the rain on your check out, but today is 15 of October and it is more than natural to happen!

I highly recommend this property. The room is quiet, clean and easy access to the harbor. We are welcomed with local fruits, raki and champion in the room. The owner is so nice. She gave us a good introduction to the history of the area and recommendations for shopping and the restaurants at the time of check in. We followed her advice and were very satisfied. When we checked out, she also told us to stop by a nice beach on the way to the airport, we enjoyed it. I want to say thank you again to the owner and will definitely book this hotel next time we visit Chania.
