We chose the hotel mainly because of the Aquapark and were not disappointed. The kids (age 6 and 8) had a great time and we spent a lot of time in the pools. Our oldest had fun on the various slides - but do note that kids below 120 cm are only allowed on the donut-slide, accompanied by an adult.
We were disappointed by the room size, though. The 25 m2 single bed room size includes all (i.e. probably also the balcony) and for a family of four, in our view, this simply isn't enough. This meant less sleep for us parents, as our kids tend to wake up earlier than the rest of us. Further, the balcony is not large enough for all, allowing for only two chairs - in a four person bedroom?
Common areas were great though, and we were pleased with the variety of food and beverage in the restaurant and the lobby/pool bar. With a vegetarian parent, a semi vegetarian 6 year old and an 8 year old who mainly want pizza, burgers or pasta, there was a risk of someone leaving the table as hungry as before, but all were able to find something at all meal times of the day.
If you have an interest in exploring Crete outside of the resort, I would recommend car rental. We went to Chania (about 25 km drive) a few times as well as Elafonissi beach (about 75 km drive) - whereas the area just outside of the resort is not that interesting.
All in all a good experience - main issue for us was the room size.
