"The property was as described and provided a very comfortable base. The property is within easy walking distance of Funchal city centre and the restaurants and amenities of the Lido area. Please be aware though that, if you have any mobility or respiratory issues, it is a steep walk back! We hired a car, a Qashqui, which was on the large side for the awkward gateway and parking arrangement. It was wonderful however to have the independence of a car to explore the island! "One of three self catering properties located in a private banana plantation.Very peaceful at night and yet only a few hundred yards from Reids Palace.The property is very well equipped with separate lounge , bedroom (very comfortable bed) , bathroom and kitchen / diner.The kitchen has a balcony overlooking the banana trees and there are views to the bay from the bedroom and lounge. You also have shared use of a very nice swimming pool which I would imagine to be a huge bonus in the summer...
