Localizado dentro da Medina de Fes, não passa carro lá, então tem que se deslocar carregando as malas até o hotel. Como é um Alcazar, não tem elevador, se ficar em andar diferente do térreo (meu caso) terá que subir escadas com as malas.

The staff are very helpful. Property is clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower set-up is something to get used to, but we had a pleasant overall

Was a very nice Riad, but staff was limited in able to answer our questions. The Fez medina is one of the largest and very hard to navigate, so a little help would have been nice (as they did in Marrakesh). But there was no one really around to answer these questions. Othmane was available to call, but hard to navigate this over the phone. Also, our booking was for 4 adults and the 2 single beds are not suitable for adults. They are 2/3rds the size of a single bed and not a full length. May work for a child but definitely not for an adult. The breakfast was excellent.

Excellent welcome and staff. Breakfast was good, and assistance with luggage was excellent. The area around the property was difficult to see because the property was located on a very narrow street in the old town, and we did not have much time to investigate. Also, it's not possible to drive into the property location. You need assistance with luggage to get inside.

This was a disappointing stay and our least favorite riad during our whole 2 weeks in Morocco. The riad is very basic, the room was cramped and stifling. Basically the opposite of grand. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive, which was the saving grace. If you choose to stay here, expect a 3 star facility.

Dear Dina, Thank you for your review and we are sorry for this experience. However, you've booked a junior suite that way smaller and less spacious and ornamented such as our other premium suites (we have 10 of them in total). Our Junior suite is also way less expensive that our premium suites... We are sorry that we were full and could't upgrade you to another suite. Please note that we are not a 3 star facility, but a first category guest house (classified by the ministry of tourism), which is like 5 stars for riads.Best regardsOmar and Othmane

Don`t miss a real Morocco experience...
Le Grand Alcazar is a hotel with soul and by soul, I mean people working there and architecture. It is difficult to find the right words to describe how friendly and helpful everyone was. It was beyond our expectations. We were family with small children, and we had a great time there. I recommend a lunch in the room with pool. Sit down, relax and enjoy wonderful food, freshly made orange juice and hotel`s architecture. Best wishes to the staff and specially to the manager. We both are fans of the same tennis player. :) DM.

Le Grand Alkaraz was a perfect Riad for our family. The common areas were beautiful and the rooms inviting (with great AC). Breakfast was a highlight, as was the proximity to the Medina. We’d recommend without hesitation.

The Grand Alcazar was a magical place of beauty and delight. The riad itself was worthy of the great palaces that one only gets to visit nowadays: beautiful plaster, wood, paint, tiles, and metal artisanship all around. The team there is simply fantastic and made us feel like family from the moment we stepped in - thank you Omar, thank you Youssef! We enjoyed just staying in to read a book in such beauty during the warmer time of the day, or just eating something delicious from the kitchen. Have a look at the many books on Morocco - very much worthwhile. We also enjoyed the location: so easy to get to and right next to the medina. All in all, the most magical experience in Morocco or anywhere else in the world for that matter. I cannot recommend this place too much.

An Incredible Experience
I frequently stay in hotels all around the world. Le Grand Alcazar represented a new level in hospitality to me. From the moment you walk into the Riad, you understand that this is a very special place. Extremely well decorated in a sympathetic and original Moroccan style, the staff warmly welcome you. I chose a panorama room which had a small terrace overlooking the Medina of Fes. The room was beautifully appointed with cool aircon. The included breakfast is a sumptuous affair, with lots of fresh bread, pastries and a myriad of Moroccan curiosities. I would like to make a special mention for Youssef, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Fes Medina.

Best Riad in Fes
The owners of the Riad told me that they try to hire people who have a good heart rather than people with experience because you can teach service but not heart. They have succeeded beyond their expectations. Ghizlane & Youssef, and the rest of the staff, provided the best service that we’ve ever had at any hotel and they made us feel like family, not customers. I can’t recommend them any higher. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Best Riad in Fes
We had a wonderful time at Le Grand Alcazar. The Riad and our room was absolutely beautiful. They even upgraded our room without us asking since they had an empty room. The best part was the staff - Omar, Youssef, Fatima, Ghizlane, and the rest of the staff was really amazing. They went out of their way to make sure that we felt at home here. The breakfast here was amazing as well and the views from the rooftop are absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here!

The common areas were spectacular. The rooftop balcony was pleasant with nice views over the ville nouvelle. The bedroom was nice. The craftsmanship around the tub and shower resulted in the bathroom flooding each time the shower was used. We could use towels to direct the water to a drain, but the resulting puddle was hazardous upon exiting the shower. We reported upon departure. Breakfasts were abundant and delicious.

Great location, staff and breakfast
Just like everyone else says…location is incredible, right in the middle of the action. Amazing breakfast selection in their restaurant. Tip: if you’re a light sleeper, maybe try not to get a room facing Calle Preciados, or get one higher than the second floor, it can get a bit loud from pedestrians/trucks at night

One of the most unique hotels that I've ever experienced. Was once the home/office of the minister of culture, beautifully adorned. Young hosts are super welcoming. It was a really unexpected pleasure.

La perle de Fes ❤️
Tout a été exceptionnelle du debut à la fin. Nous avions prévu de passer qu'une nuit au riad, nous avons finit par y passer 5 soit tout notre séjour à Fes et ses environs! Nous avons plus qu'apprécier l'acceuil de Youcef et Ghislaine qui ont particulièrement été plus qu'aimable avec nous, mais aussi le reste de l'équipe. Le personnel est plus que qualifié et toujours près a donner des conseils et nous aider. Nous avons été particulièrement sensible à la "vraie" gentillesse de l'équipe composée de personnes humainement et veritablement bonnes. Le petit dejeuner etait plus que copieux et varie chaque jour afin de connaitre toutes les spécialités marocaine. Le Riad dispose seulement de quelques chambre ce qui le rend particulièrement calme et apreciable. La localisation est plus que pratique (près d'une sortie de la medina) tout est faisable a pied et les sites les plus importants à faire de Fes sont a maximum 25min a pied! Les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie plus que confortable on a même du mal a quitter le lit le matin tellement on s'y sent bien. Les douches sont spacieuses et fonctionnent tres bien (eau bien chaude). La décoration est typique de la region de Fes respectant à la fois le côté ancien des palais Fassis mais aussi des petite pointe moderne. En bref nous avons tout aimé et nous vous en remercions sincèrement!

Väldigt bra upplevelse på riaden. Super snäll personal, bra service. Absolut ingenting att klaga på. Väldigt tillmötesgående personal. Väldigt fin riad, över 200 år gammal. Super fin arkitektur som man kan beundra i timmar. Stora rum med bra sängar. Rent och fräscht i riaden. Kommer definitivt tillbaka hit.

Beautifully styled and clean. Extremely friendly staff. We were a family of 4 and they went above and beyond for any requests. Walkable location with great view from terrace. Wifi was strong as well. Would definitely stay again!

I loved my stay here! This is owned and run by two brothers and they have taken a very personal approach in running this. They really do make you feel very welcome while staying there, and the property itself is fantastic as well. I can't recommend this highly enough. The rooftop terrace is wonderful, their kitchen which prepares traditional Moroccan cuisine is top-notch, and the location is easy to find, close to the edge of the medina, but also close to the market. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We had trouble at the plane and missed our flight to Fez. They were unwilling to refund any money at all back to us, even a portion would have been acceptable. They kept saying they had trouble understanding English and since they were a new place, they were unable to refund even a portion of our full payment. We contacted them right away, as soon as we knew we could not make it.

Dear Chris, We are really sorry that you couldn’t make your trip to Fez. First of all, we never had a chance to talk to you, we were contacted by a lady from the website where you made your reservation. As you see we can speak English, how curious is that ? We would have certainly come to a solution if you talked to us directly, as we offered many options. You can ask for the recording of the call, you will see that this is really not true. Our establishment has a cancellation policy and a same day cancellation is unfortunately not refundable. I think you can understand that it’s not enough time for us to sell it again especially in low season. We also offered the possibility to change your reservation to a future date for free and they said you declined it. What else could we do? There’s a reason why insurance companies and credit cards offer trip cancellation insurances to avoid these kind of situations. We don’t think it’s fair and don’t really understand how you could expect us as a third party boutique hotel of small capacity to assume the responsibility of something out of our control. Neither the fact that you leave us a bad review based on that, when you never had the opportunity to visit our Riad. We are a team of 11 people working very hard, putting all our hearts and efforts into providing the best quality standards of service and comfort to our guests, and all of us felt hurt and underestimated by you review. That must be the reason why we are the number one rated riad in Fez, and we’ll do everything to keep being there. We still hope you can visit us one day, Sincerely, Othmane and Omar

Tres joli ryad, personnel attentionné, très bien situé et très facile d'accès en taxi , mais qq détails pourraient être améliorés : le sèche cheveux ne permet pas de faire des brushing et le petit petit-déjeuner est assez quelconque, même si les douceurs sont faites maison .

Le Grand Alcazar is a beautiful Riad that is sparkling clean and is owned and operated by the loveliest people. Othmane the owner was so kind and gracious to us during our time in Fes, we wish we could have stayed longer. The center area downstairs is beautiful, the rooms are clean and the location of the Riad is excellent. Despite that it was raining the entire time we were in Fes, we have the fondest memories of that city all thanks to Le Grand Alcazar. Othmane's hospitality is truly what we will remember whenever we think of our time in Fes. This was certainly our favorite place that we stayed in all of Morocco.

Le Grand Alcazar is a beautiful historic property, with very friendly staff who aim to ensure guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The people were extremely nice and caring. When we asked for the place to go shopping, Omar gave us some explanations and told us to give him a call if something happens. I really liked the taste of chicken tagin at this riad, the best one I had in Morocco! Unfortunately the hot water didn't come out stably so it was kind of cold.

Home away from home in Fes
We only stayed one night in Fes but will be returning solely based on the warm welcome and hospitality we received from Omar and Othmane at Le Grand Alcazar. We truly felt at home -- well in a much more beautiful home than our own! Le Grand Alcazar is stunning and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The ornate wood work is even more impressive in person and it's settled in a good spot in the city to see views from the top floor balcony. They really have it all. IF you like a boutique hotel feel, this is your spot! We'll always remember our time in Fes with Omar in Othmane and their story. They are twin brothers who were born and raised in Fes and just recently returned to restore and host guests in their city at Le Grand Alcazar. Their passion for their work was truly inspiring and the epitome of great hospitality, I whole-heartedly recommend a stay here. I know we can't wait to return. Also, we ate a lot of Moroccan cookies on our trip and I can say with confidence I'll never forget the delicious ones we had with our tea as we settled into Le Grand Alcazar. Thank you Othmane and Omar for making us feel at home in Morocco!

Best Riad in Fes
Beautiful Riad, excellently located. Nothing was too much trouble - this place really had the personal touch. I would stay here again in an instant and recommend it to anyone visiting Fes.

We spent an additional night after we came back from Chefchaouen. We left early morning at 2:00 AM to fly to Casablanca. Ghizlane gave us a breakfast bags so we won’t go without breakfast. Overall this is our best stay in Morocco and you would enjoy your stay in this Riad and the company of the owners and their staff.

Le Grand Alcazar is a fine beautiful place to stay at. It is located in the old medina and you can have easy access to other important points. Their rooms are clean, spaciace, and beautifully decorated. Nice bathroom with bath top and hot water. Their breakfast was great and served by a responsive young lady and a gentleman. They have an amazing rooftop that gives you a view to the entire city. The Riad is owned by Omar and Osman who are identical twins. We arrived late on our first night after midnight and welcomed by Omar who made us a dinner and made us feel at home. The next day we meet the other twin Osman who was just as charming as his brother. The brothers gave us a free rid to the bus station on our way to Chefchaouen. Both bothers are personable and friendly and we really enjoyed their company. Ghizlane is the young receptionist lady who was as kind and professional like the owners. She explained to us how to get around in the city and how to bargain for the taxi prices. We spent an additional night after we came back from Chefchaouen. We left early morning at 2:00 AM to fly to Casablanca. Ghizlane gave us a breakfast bags so we won’t go without breakfast. Overall this is our best stay in Morocco and you would enjoy your stay in this Riad and the company of the owners and their staff.

Excellent service. Impressive
I don't believe i have ever met two kore helpful hosts in my extensive travel than Ousmane and Outhmane. Nothing was too much to ask and they did everything with a cheerful smile. They went over and beyond my expectations and even though i booked this Riad because of the excellent reviews on service, I was still impressed. Humbled to have stayed among such great people.

Great location, very clean property with incredibly helpful and friendly staff. You won’t regret staying here. Breakfast was great and rooms were divine.

Beautiful riad and excellent service
It was our first stay in Morocco and it was the best choice for starting our trip. Very warm welcome, tasty breakfast, very nice area - near to both medina and Royal palace. Very beautiful riad and great service. Owners are very welcome and helpful. We had a Tirquoise room, it was very beautiful, high ceilings, spacious room and bathroom. Very hard to mention shortcomings, but for some guests limited noise isolation and that’s why some seemingly lack of privacy could be an issue for rooms like ours (windows of our room opened to the internal yard). You can have you breakfast and dinner both on the terrace and in the internal yard. Views are beautiful (but there were some construction work at the beginning of May). The riad have two suites on the first floor (without staircases). We used parking nearby for small fee (2 eur per night).

An amazing experience from Le Grand Alcazar! I had more than a warm welcome from the two brothers, Omar and Othmane, when I arrived at their beautiful riad. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and detailed. I was fortunate to have spent one night at Le Grand Alcazar, but wished I had spent every night

Buon riad gestiti da due fratelli eccezionali. Avrebbero fatto di tutto per rendere il nostro siggiorno gradevole. Buona colazione e ottima cena in riad. Ottima organizzazione e puntualitá nelle escursioni. Provate e non rimarrete delusi.

Mehr als perfekt. Das Riad wird von den zwei Brüdern Othmane und Omar geführt, die nicht umsonst betonen, man solle sich fühlen wie zuhause. In einer derart warmen und herzlichen Atmosphäre wird man selten empfangen. Man fühlt sich wie bei Freunden. Wer die Wahl hat, sollte eines der großen Zimmer für zwei Personen im ersten Stock nehmen. Sie sind liebevoll eingerichtet und bieten außerordentlich viel Platz. Das Frühstück im Riad ist gut und das optional erhältliche Abendessen, das zwar für die Verhältnisse des Landes recht teuer ist, ist jeden Dirham wert. Man kann die beiden Brüder kaum genug preisen. SIe haben einen einmaligen Ort zum Wohlfühlen geschaffen.

We were welcome by brothers whom manage the riad, the riad is clean and we feel like home during our stay. Both owers are very helpful and provide us info to get around the medina, thank you very much and l look forward to stay here again when i am coming to Fes next time!
