Disappointing response from reception to a couple of problems.
1. Went to reception to ask if they had any spare tv remote controls as the one in our room was faulty. A shrug from the receptionist and a simple “No” was all I got. After trying to reset it and putting new batteries in, I went back and asked if I could get one from an unoccupied room. This caused her to give a big sigh and was obviously an inconvenience, though it did produce a positive result.
2. Reported on Sunday evening that there was a problem with the toilet flush in our room, in that not even paper was not being flushed away. I was told that there was no one from maintenance on site, so the only solution was a room move. As it was late, we decided that we would manage without overnight as they could look into the problem in the morning. When we were going out on Monday morning, I reminded reception that we had the flush problem and said we would be out all day. Upon our return late on Monday we discovered that the flush was still not working properly, but as we had only 1 night left we didn’t bother trying to get it sorted then.
We also had a problem with the hot water going off in our block but we were able to use the shower in another room, which was helpful but not ideal. The water was reinstated the same day.
We have stayed here plenty of times before and will do again as it is convenient for us. So this experience hasn’t put us off but was a let down on our previous visits.
