"The room was clean and charming - obviously recently redone with the bones being a bit 'Old Motel' like. They did a nice job and the view was great, location perfect for us (next to the trail along the river) and we accidentally left a wallet in the room, they called right away and alerted us before we left town...super helpful! The check-in treats with hand written note were a super nice gesture. The hosts were easy to make contact with and provided more amenities than most other properties we’ve stayed at elsewhere. "The cottage was very cute and well stocked with pots and pans and spices if you want to cook. The snacks and water were very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t mind the sound of the trains at night but the blowing train whistle woke us a few times. There are ear plugs there if needed. Unfortunately the lake was over grown with vegetation so we didn’t kayak, but we brought our own bikes and rode the Cannon Falls trail in MN. The trail was beautiful. The owner...
