Great location, next to Berlin’s most important theatre, Berliner Ensemble. But the builders have practically destroyed the area, with a gigantic in- your- face monstrosity building, that smash the historical beauty of the Berliner Ensemble. Shameful! The rooms are so tiny and uncomfortable, hard Ikea- like chair, a mattress too soft and in the bathroom, you have to shower with the door inside the shower, very uncomfortable. The toilet was in a corner you couldn’t get to. There was nothing in the mini- bar. There was a television ( supposedly with cable) which turned itself off every 2 minutes. When I complained, it wasn’t fixed, and someone at the hotel admitted all the tvs turned themself off after a minute or 2. When I arrived a few hours too early for check in, someone at the desk asked a boss,” Can she have a room that’s ready now?” The boss said,” No!” So I had to go out into town for several hours before getting my very uncomfortable room. The hotel is not cheap- and with few exceptions, very unfriendly and not making me feel welcome. I would rather stay at a more primitive b&b than this. It pretends to be high quality, but is only interested in making money, certainly not its guests. And the architects should be ashamed of themselves, not understanding that the building destroys a historical site.

Unfortunately, you have not told your criticism on spot. We would have had the opportunity to turn it to a better one. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with the size of the room. You can see the different categories and sizes on our website, perhaps a different room category is more suitable for you. We decided against a stocked mini-bar in the room, as you will find a drinks and snack machine with a larger selection on the lower floor and on the 8th and 9th floors. Of course, we can always fill the mini-bar on request from the guests. The departure time for our guests is until 12:00 o'clock. If possible, we will gladly try to allow guests to check in before 3:00 pm - unfortunately this is not always possible when we are fully booked. We ask for your understanding. Unfortunately, we were also unable to meet your expectations with our staff, but we have read your comments carefully and discussed them. If Berlin is your travel destination again, we look forward to your next booking. Kind regards, Best regards,

Leonardo er dog fortsat vores 4 stjernet hotel
Som altid har vi været glade for vores ophold på hotel Leonardo Mitte, og vi kommer igen. Dog er der lige et lille men. Undres over at 4 stjernet hotel med en hold/klasse elever eller studerende, der ikke har respekt for andre end dem selv. Meget højrøstet og larmende når de kom tilbage på værelserne om sen aften. Ellers var vi som vi plejer fuldt ud tilfredse.

Overordnet et fint ophold. Dog var rengøring på værelset mangelfuldt. Specielt set i lyset af vi betalte 15€ extra pr dag for rengøring, da vi havde hund med.

God morgenmad, service - men værelse mangler karma
Super service og beliggenhed. Hjælpsom og smilende reception og lækker morgenmad der klart kan Anbefales. Værelserne mangler dog bedre karma - trænger til finish og ikke mindst billeder på væggene for at skabe atmosfære. Tæt på gode restauranter langs spree'n , bartausind, friedrichstrasse s und u bahn.

Hotel was okay, modern and mostly clean. Staff didn't help with issues well. The tablet in our room said we could request items from a list that we may have forgotten. We had forgotten a comb which was on the list. When I asked reception, the man looked dismissive if my request and told me to buy one at the train station over the road. One of toilet rolls in the room was heavily covered in brown stains which we choose to think was dried mud and not something else. The bed was comfortable and shower facilities good. The location is perfect, 5 mins walk from a train station that goes directly to airport. 5/10 walk to Brandenburg gate, memorial to murdered Jews of Europe and the main central road of Berlin. It was an average hotel.

Room was clean. However needed new mattresses. Was a sinkhole on outer edge of each bed. Hard to roll over as you had to roll uphill to get out of hole. Made for uncomfortable nights sleep. Also, housekeeping let themselves in room 3 times starting at 8am both mornings of stay. Each time I had to tell them to leave. Twice they had to get a co-worker as they did not speak English.

The hotel had a great location near the train station and there were lots of shops near the train station. The staff were very friendly and kind.
