The power was out for eight hours, so our phones died. We needed them for our trip to Disneyland because of the app which had our tickets on it. The constant surging (presumably as repairs were attempted) also broke our phone chargers, and the outlets were so poor that the one charger that didn't break charged one phone super slowly. Once the power came back on, the fire alarm went off. There was also a fly buzzing around our room when we first came in, which was gross, and the sheets smelled like chlorine.
The front desk didn't care about any of these issues or inconveniences.
