Enjoy comfortable accommodation in Gumnut, Kangaroo Valley. The ideal tiny house NSW retreat nestled in lush open fields, woodland, and a lot of kangaroos visible right at your doorstep— just 5km from the centre of Kangaroo Valley where tourists often gather. Nearby Hampden Bridge, Budderoo National Park, Belmore Falls, and Fitzroy Falls.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be some animal and tractor noise during your stay with us as we are a working farm that cares for animals and crops.
The Space:
Gumnut sits in a small town of New South Whales, a comfortable Kangaroo Valley accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, including open paddocks and half of the farm. Please keep in mind, that the other half is a pastured egg farm, which guests are not allowed to enter.

Getting Around:
By car: 2 hrs from Sydney

Approx 30km to the Southern Highlands or the South Coast
By public transport: There is a daily bus that meets the train in Bowral or Bomaderry, but it stops 3km from the property.

- No smoking allowed on property
- Free firewood is available for guests to use
- BBQ grill and Outdoor firepit is available for use
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra and Optus
- Unregistered guests or visitors are not allowed
- Please advise that we have 8 working dogs on the chicken farm
- Please take note to dispose of your trash properly, as we provide recycling bins for guests to use
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics, close windows, and lock doors when leaving the house
- Please also note that the pond behind the tiny home has not ever been accessible (it’s a a very shallow muddy pool full of reeds).
Important note:
- The egg farm is strictly off-limits to guests due to biosecurity
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness, a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
