What you can expect

Enjoy authentic Icelandic flavours in one of the top restaurants in the city. Choose between a 2-course seafood lunch or feast on a 6-course tasting menu for dinner. An award-winning chef and a friendly team welcome you with warm hospitality in this renowned establishment overlooking the port.

The Old Harbour in Reykjavik – a charming fishing community – is the city's gateway to the world and one of its major sights. Overlooking the Atlantic and the impressive Esja mountain range surrounding the bay, Kopar Restaurant is a favourite with locals and visitors alike. Wood floors, muted colours and most importantly, delicious food prepared and served by excellent staff make this a great choice for a meal out.

Your first course for lunch is rock crab soup – rich and creamy, with deep flavours. The second dish is a “catch-of-the-day” fish, always very fresh straight from the sea, with a side consisting of a selection of vegetables, potatoes or another starch and warm sauce.

The 8-course taster menu served for dinner focuses on seafood and Icelandic crustaceans and includes 1 or 2 small dishes of other types of meat. As an example, this tastefully presented feast might include delicacies such as cod tongues with sherry cream cheese, scallops from Breidafjordur bay with dill cream and salmon roe, and a blue ling with pistachios and lobster-infused champagne sauce. No-meat and no-fish vegetarian diets can also be accommodated.

Please note that for the 8-course adventure menu, from November 22nd - December 23rd this is automatically a 6-course Christmas Adventure Menu. Please contact supplier for more details.
