Explore Doi Tung, a mountain in the Thai highlands that offers remarkable views of Thailand and Myanmar from its summit. Along this mountain, find the amazing botanical garden of Mae Fah Luang, the Royal Villa, and the grand holy temple of Wat Phra That Doi Tung.

Start your journey to Doi Tung with a scenic drive along the mountains. Amid the mountain air, take in a remarkable, panoramic view of Thailand and Myanmar. Continue your journey with a visit to a hill-tribe village, once a site of opium cultivation.

Next, visit the Mae Fah Luang Garden and enjoy the beautiful, elegant, and well-manicured garden of colourful flowers. Continue your trip to the Royal Villa, the former home of Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother. This elegant villa is constructed from recycled pine wood and discarded teak trees.

Complete your trip farther up the mountain with a visit to the Wat Phra That Doi Tung. Built in the year 911 AD, this temple was erected from Buddha’s left collarbone and is regarded as the oldest and holiest sanctuary in the region.
