We visited from Thursday to Monday. The hotel entrance is nice and clean. We were directed to our room by the management itself, which was fine, but there was too much focus on their restaurant and nightclub upstairs. To us, it seemed like too much marketing. The room was clean, but I spent too much energy trying to get clean towels, the different shampoos and creams were not refilled, even though I repeatedly asked for it. But if you have chosen white towels, which is fine, and you get towels with brownish stains, it's not okay. This happened several times. They apologised etc. but I didn't think it was ok. I don't expect compensation, but they could have offered coffee, breakfast, drinks, something, as I spent so much energy and time on it, despite a four-day trip.
At the pool you have to buy your own shower caps as it is a requirement and the price is unreasonable - we are in a 5 star hotel. The pool was dull, non-slip and had not been updated. There was a small water dispenser that was not switched on, and the lifeguard was not there. No one came and asked if we wanted to order a drink or something similar.
The metro is max 10 min walk from the hotel, there is a small shopping market nearby, and it is close to the water, where we found a delicious restaurant. However, it's on the "boring" side if you've come to play tourist. We came to watch football, so it's the perfect side.
Istanbul is not the first time, but unfortunately the first time we have such an experience.
