Perched on a wooded dune overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan this 4 bedroom 1 bath cottage was designed to provide a cozy retreat to enjoy after a day enjoying the sandy shoreline at Grand Haven State Park. Relax on the private deck while enjoying the sunset or your morning coffee or cozy up in the 3 season room and catch up on your favorite book while enjoying the view. 2 floors of living space provide plenty of room for everyone to retreat and rest up for another day of exploring this coastal town.

INSIDE
This home features four bedrooms and one full bathroom. The kitchen opens to a separate dining area and spacious living room which opens to a lake facing sunny 3 season room.
4 bedrooms can be found on the upper level - each with a queen bed sleeping 8 total. All linens are provided. A full bath can be located on the main floor.

OUTSIDE
Attached deck is equipped with a gas grill

PARKING
There is space for four (4) vehicles in front of the home.

THE LOCATION
Grand Haven State Park is just a short walk away and the downtown district is one mile away featuring a variety of great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries , and boutique shopping. Enjoy a walk along the harbour and the nightly musical fountains. If you're looking for a relaxing retreat with endless options Sunset View is a perfect choice for your next getaway!

Enough room for everyone comfortably, the house was stocked with everything we needed, and we couldn't ask for a better location. The sunroom / porch is gorgeous.. The description undersold how much they would provide as well. They had tons of dishes, pots, pans, ironing board, fans. It was also perfect because it was a short walk to the beach, far enough away on top of the hill that it felt secluded, and we had an incredible view..Will definitely book here again!"

The pros for this house are exactly what you think - it's very easy access to the beach and pier, and a reasonable walk to downtown Grand Haven activities. This is all great.The cons start with the proximity to some of these same things. Unfortunately the public park and campground are immediately in front of the house, so the nearest beach is crowded and not the cleanest. The worst part is that the house sits in front of the entrance & exit drive to the park, which is apparently a major draw for every bozo with a muscle car or motorcycle with an extremely loud exhaust. Especially from 9-10 when the park clears out, the noise is obnoxious. None of this is the fault of the house, but it unfortunately is part of the package.The house itself is very rustic. The one bathroom is definitely in need of updating and, while I think it was generally cleaned well, it's still feels somewhat dirty because there are a number of things, like trim by the shower, that are just old and need to be replaced and are somewhat falling apart. There are no blinds in the house at all, so there is no privacy outside of the one tiny bathroom and you can count on an early wakeup at sunrise! The other issue that we had was the dishes, which were incredibly dirty, like you could see that some weren't clean from across the room. Clearly the housekeepers did not check the dishes at all. You can have fun here, but definitely know what you're getting. It's not the fanciest.

Enjoyed our family stay. Couple things not happy with no curtains on the windows so anyone can see in at any time. Also fireplace that was covered with a picture. Had bird droppings all over. Windows overlooking beach area were fogged up and tough to see out.

The sunroom / porch is gorgeous, the windows are a little cloudy though. The description undersold how much they would provide as well. They had tons of dishes, pots, pans, seasonings, ironing board, fans. It was also perfect because it was a short walk to the beach, far enough away on top of the hill that it felt secluded, and we had an incredible view. The directions to getting there could be better, as Apple Maps can’t locate the address accurately and we had to go around and all the way down a dead end to find it. Will definitely book here again!

This house was much more run down than I anticipated from the photos. There is no central air conditioning, no washer and dryer, no dishwasher. The main stair case was extremely steep and not up to code. I was fearful of having my small children navigate it and think elderly people would struggle greatly. I also really looked forward to enjoying the porch with its view of the water, but was disappointed to find the windows cloudy, obscuring the view.

Overall, great location - right across the street from the beach and walking distance to everything in the town. House was great to host 4 couples! Really enjoyed the screened-in porch and living room area. Be advised that this house claims to have air conditioning. There are window units in 2/4 bedrooms but no central air. The other bedrooms have box fans. There are no blinds on any of the windows in the property. We had a few small ants in one of the four beds and dealt with a leaky fridge. We called the company upon arrival and they offered to have people out to service the property promptly. We decided that we would deal with it for our stay.

The property was very nice, clean and comfortable. Beautiful view of the water. The only issues we had were that we were not informed that the parking was in the back through an alley (we found it quite by accident). The Wi-Fi was very spotty with a lot of dead zones. We got better Wi-Fi from the house’s WiFi, across the street on the beach. And with only one shower for 6 people it would have been better to have a vinyl shower liner, after the first couple people everything was wet. Also the previous guest left their net flix acct signed in. But we had an amazing time

This house was the perfect place for our short beach trip with our kids. We were only able to get wifi in one corner of the house. They were quick to respond and investigate but a solution wasn’t reached during our stay. Hopefully it’ll be fixed for the next person! Aside from that, it was truly lovely!
