Opslået 11-11-2014 på HotelsJeg havde to nætter på Hulmes. Værelset var indrettet som et bogværelse, havde en god seng og var eller et behageligt sted. Er med morgenmad og all day snacks inkl. te/kaffe. Gratis vask.
Ligger på toppen af en meget stejl bakke. Vinduerne er ikke isolerede, så det kan godt være koldt om natten. Der var ikke så meget tryk på vandet i bruseren (fælles badeværelse).

Located one block from the Octagon, this historical house (previously owned by one of the first doctors in Christchurch) is bery well maintained and managed. The owners are very nice, live next door and are always available. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are comfortable and clean. Feels bery much like paying a visit during the Victorian time. Very recommended!

Fordele: The house is goovy and well set up. Location is fantastic and parking is provided
Ulemper: The beds could be made a bit better and the mattresses need updating. They were a bit "soggy", at least the single bed I stayed in was
Sted: The location is in the middle of town and there are lots of restaurants etc within walking distance
This is an easy walk into the city and a great house to stay in. The breakfast was yummy (self-serve) and the room was as described. Maybe slightly over-priced but still worth staying there.

Nice room and bathroom but windows should be fixed or replaced (on a cold wintery day too much cold wind/air because the bathroom and bedroom windows don't shut properly)

Fordele: In the centre of town.
The history in the house.
Ulemper: No plug or strainer in our basin. Just a black yucky hole to not look down while brushing teeth or drop your rings down.
Sted: Just above the octagon walk to movies, bars, restaurants and art gallery. Could walk to Stadium too.
An interesting old house with an historic places plaque. A fairy tale house with different levels and roof lines and a mysterious turret room above our ensuite room .....was the manhole in our ceiling it's only entry?
Bed was comfy ,breakfast good, room warm.
Not plush but a nice experience.
