“Five Star Staff”

My second stay here. The staff are great, You get a warm welcome, they smile and they are helpful. The rooms are larger than most Lodge type hotels and are well equiped. Good situation for a one night stay in transit or as a centre for exploring. You must appreciate that the situation is at a Motorway Service area. I will be going again.

“Overall good hotel”

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained overall but a faulty soap dispenser in the bathroom caused the downgrade. Facilities were good. Bed very comfortable. Free open access wifi a useful plus in a reasonably priced hotel.

“An excellent location for exploring”

A recently built 'Days Inn' Lodge type of hotel situated next to the Peterborough Service Staion on the A1M. Had a 3 night/4 day stay to attend a meeting in Peterborough and to explore the Northamtonshire villages. Rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning. Housekeeping was to a high standard. The rooms do have power showers and not baths. However the shower cubicle is large and has a seat. The rooms were very suitable for one or two persons. For a family of four I would suggest two rooms. There was no noise from the traffic or the Service Station, but my room was at the rear overlooking countryside. I cannot speak for the front. It provided an excellent centre to explore the Nene valley and the stone built villages. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially in recommending local restaurants and gastropubs. I can thoroughly recommend the Black Horse Inn in the adjacent village of Elton as I went there twice. My last comment is that the cost of the hotel was less than half of the many chain type of larger impersonal hotels in this area, but the rooms are far more comfortable.

I stay in this hotel regularly, it is excellent value for money, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean and the services area next door provides a good variety of food and drink.

Excellent for business travellers or those just looking for an overnight stay, because of its location. To be avoided if you're looking for somewhere away from the hustle and bustle.

“Nice hotel, wifi has conditions attached.”

Nice hotel, had a good night's sleep, but it claims to offer free wifi and doesn't. When you attempt to sign in to the wifi, it tells you you're required to let BT Openzone send you marketing messages to use the wifi. That's not free wifi.
